Visit School

Valley Christian School welcomes visitors anytime. Simply call the office for an appointment and we will accommodate your scheduling needs. We trust that you will experience firsthand our mission in progress: The mission of Valley Christian School in partnership with each parent is to develop Christ-centered thinkers, with a heart for God, equipped to excel in all aspects of life.

Information Packet

The office will be glad to send you an information packet. You can read about our philosophy and programs to see if you are in agreement with the plan that Valley Christian School has for educating precious lives.

Application

Our application asks practical questions regarding your child’s history, your family’s spiritual goals, and why you would want to send your child to Valley Christian School.

Testing / Evaluation

The preschool program requires no testing. There is only an age requirement. Three year olds attend our Tuesday/Thursday class. Four year olds attend our Monday/Wednesday/Friday program. Special accommodations may be made on an individual basis.

Each applicant from Kindergarten and beyond is tested to determine his/her appropriate grade placement. Traditionally and culturally the chronological ages are 5 for admittance to Kindergarten and 6 for admittance to grade one. Applicants are placed according to the results of a developmental screening for admittance to Kindergarten and grade one. A copy of your child's most recent report card and standardized test scores should be brought at the time of testing.

Interview

Our school board desires to meet with prospective families. Our goal is to be sure that your philosophy and ours are one and the same. We want your children to hear and see consistency between what happens at school and in your home.

Acceptance

If you and Valley Christian School concur on the testing results and recommendations for student placement and the interview confirms that we agree in philosophy, we will notify you of your child’s acceptance into our program.

International Student Admission

VCS welcomes international students to study with us whether it is for two months or ten months. VCS has come to find the experience to be mutually beneficial as students from diverse backgrounds come together to share culture, tradition and the unique ways in which children come to spread the Word the world over.  

Once accepted to Valley Christian School our staff is well equipped to assist in processing of the F-1 Student Visa for entry into the USA.

Several of our faculty has had training in ESL.

We have enjoyed many students from South Korea in particular over the past few years. Several of our faculty has had training in ESL. Our experience with this program is that international students fall in love with VCS and do not want to leave!

Transportation

Great, your child has been accepted. Now you’ve just got to get them here! While Valley Christian is centrally located, transportation may still be a concern. Luckily, free transportation is available for most children in the surrounding area. Click the “Details” link for additional information.
